Welcome to our new website!

Springfield Public Schools has several policies that protect the rights of students and staff, including:
 Non-discrimination:
  • The district does not discriminate in admission, access, or treatment based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or homelessness.
  • Harassment and civil rights:
  • The district does not tolerate harassment or violations of civil rights based on race, color, national origin, sex, religion, or sexual orientation. The district investigates all complaints and takes action against those who violate the policy.
  • Title IX:
  • The district prohibits sex discrimination, including sex-based harassment, in all education programs and activities. The district's Title IX Coordinator is Katie O'Sullivan, Senior Administrator of Human Resources.
  • Gender identity:
  • The district allows students to participate in gender-based activities, rules, or practices in a manner that is consistent with their gender identity. Staff members can choose a name and pronoun that matches their gender identity, and can use the restroom or changing room that corresponds to their gender identity.
  • Acceptable use policy:
  • The district has policies that outline the appropriate use of technology for staff and students.

Acceptable Use Policy:

The Springfield Public Schools Acceptable Use Policies outline the appropriate use of technology hardware and software as well as internet connectivity for both staff and students. Staff agree to the Acceptable Use Policy as a condition of employment and the Acceptable Use Policy for students is one component of the Parent/Student Handbook.
